About
The VW Beetle is instantly recognisable with its distinctive shape and sound.
A full-fledged automobile with four seats at an affordable price – this is what Ferdinand Porsche was aiming for when he set out to design the Beetle in the 1930s, for a middle class demanding mobility. However, it was only after the Second World War that the “Beetle” became one of the highest volume mass-produced cars in automotive history. More than 21 million of the iconic "people's car" were produced in a period spanning over 60 years.
With this 200 piece kit you can assemble a detailed transparent engine model of the Beetle 1100. All parts of the model kit move exactly like the original.
The components are easy to assemble without any adhesive. This highly detailed manual contains a fascinating history of the VW Beetle and explains the concept of the successful boxer engine.
